Twitter works for making connections, getting referrals

Friday, March 20th, 2009

Here is an email that Realtor Wendy McLeod sent to fellow Realtor Ian Watt about her experience with Twitter and the quick success she is having. (Ian asked if it could be forwarded to me and Wendy agreed)

This is a great example of how using Twitter, Video, Ubertor and Reachd training are bring Realtors together and creating fantastic opportunities. Congrats Wendy!

Hello Ian,

I have been watching your videos, following your blog and twitter.
I have just been learning to tweet, you know me one of those old realtors you were talking about

But I have been working on it, and last night I got my first referral from an agent in another area.
I think it is amazing, and pretty damn easy, just have to stick with it.

Have fun with your family in the Gulf Islands.

James Mramor talks Custom Realtor Websites

Friday, March 20th, 2009

I received this email from a new Ubertor client the other day. It is a great testimonial for the Ubertor software and how flexible it is for making custom realtor websites. – Thanks James!

I re-searched tons of websites, and I wanted something different from everyone else. I believe there is about 15 people in my office with Ubertor, Real Page Maker or other templated sites, websites that are O.K but it was not were I wanted to go. I wanted to stand out.

I looked into many sites that had semi-custom sites so I could get the most unique site available. I wanted to set myself out from the crowd. So I hired Agent Image to design a website for me for $2500 USD and I had to put up a $1000 USD retainer. With hosting costing $59.99 USD a month.

After 5 weeks of nothing from Agent-Image I started to get a little choked and Dave deBruyn of http://www.debruyndesign.com was helping me with some business cards. He showed me a site that he had done. It was far superior then the site I was going to be paying well over 3K for from Agent Image plus I was not able to use all of the services of the backing because it did not support the FVREB MLS. It was pretty easy decision to fire Agent Image, and their lack of work, even though I had to walk away from the $1000 USD.

Dave was able to take the template site and the entire backing of Ubertor and create a site that looks like, and works like, a site that costs well over $5000 to build (Believe me I researched it!). The best bonus was the site is easy to navigate through, the software backing is simple to use. Between Dave deBruyn and Steve Jagger, they have the ability to create a website that will slaughter the competition, any Competition any day of the week.

Ubertor’s software is created to be simple to use, were they have done ALL the hard work for us. All we have to do is use it to its full potential.
