1000wattconsulting.com is reporting that “in a couple weeks, the Houston Association of Realtors will launch a Web application that allows consumers to see which Realtors within their chosen search area are transacting business – and which are not.” (complete story here)

With all of the changes happening in the real estate world, what do you think of this idea?

My 2 cents: I think it is a cool idea. More information when choosing an agents is always welcome. While doing the most deals is not necessarily the more important piece of information, it is a piece of the pie that will help consumers choose. Other important points could be: average dollar value of properties sold, area, type, etc.

The downside will be for new people in the industry, but I’m sure there is a way to make it work so that you can get some “deals done” in an apprentice sort of role. What do you think of Houston’s new App idea?

We have made an update to our newly released feature (Video Syndication to Facebook). Now within the video syndication tool within Ubertor, you can not only upload your videos to your website, as well as syndication it to YouTube, Viddler and Facebook, but now you can choose the privacy setting for your video within Facebook.

I was speaking in Saskatoon the other day at the Association of Saskatchewan Realtors about social media and online communications tools that we use to run our businesses. Rob Reynar, a Calgary Realtor shot this video for the agents at this conference to check out. Rob has a virtual assistant through our other company OTD.
