Parketing, which is parking branded vehicles at high traffic locations has been around forever yet many companies still don’t leverage its power.

My dad used to have his company logos and lists of the products he sold on our family car! It served as a rolling billboard, and he parked it strategically: no matter where we went, he found the spot that would garner the most views from passing pedestrians and other drivers.

Later, with College Pro Painters, many of us painted our old, used vehicles in a bright yellow color with our huge red and white company logos. These “big bird” vans, as they were called, attracted attention and got us clients. Some franchisees even “bartered” with gas stations: in exchange for parking their vans at the stations overnight, College Pro Painters would buy gas from the proprietor all summer long. The arrangement benefitted all those involved, and put College Pro Painters front and center at all times of the day.

To this day 1-800-GOT-JUNK? branded trucks and wrapped cars are a huge percentage of how people first heard about the company. And even if you have to park your vehicle in a questionable area, potential repair costs due to vandalism are far outweighed by the free marketing exposure you’ll get.

Last time I checked, your prospects aren’t walking around your parking lot. They are driving down the streets in the areas near their homes and offices. Where are your company cars & trucks parking tonight? This is one great and effective way of getting you FREE PR!

New Ubertor Feature: Get Notified When Someone On Your Website Emails A Home

Now, within your Ubertor Realtor Website you can get a copy of the emails that your website users are sending through your site. Now you will get the senders email, as well as the recipients email address. All you need to do is put your email address (or multiple email address) into the “Email Property” tab within the “Options” of your listings. If you have any questions you can always contact our live help team to help you set it up.

“How Do You Catch a Possible Customer’s Eye?”

I saw an article that fellow entrepreneur Matthew Weiss wrote the other day in the NY Enterprise Report. I had the opportunity to meet Matthew at an EO Event that I was speaking at in New Orleans. His post touches on Realtors and what he saw in the Southampton area. From his post:

Then, I passed Engels & Volkers, a real estate broker, and stopped dead in my tracks. They had put in place a simple, inexpensive gimmick to get pedestrian traffic to stop and notice their window full of “for sale” photos and listings.

Abbotsford Video From Carlson Media

Justin Carlson sent me a note about his new videos that he produced for RE/MAX. Here is the first one about Abbotsford, BC. For all you RE/MAX agents selling there, might be a good one to post on your websites.

At the beginning of July, Carlson Media was approached by RE/MAX to produce a series of web videos highlighting the different area’s of the valley, starting with Abbotsford, BC. After 2 beautiful days of filming in 30 degree weather, 20 water bottles and a sunburn later, we were able to capture some beautiful footage of this ‘City in the Country’.

UPDATE: I forgot that Vimeo does not like real estate content and blocks some of their videos on real estate sites. I have asked Justin for the video on a different player so that you can see it here. In the meantime just pop over to his blog to see it. (this is one of the reasons we created Combustion Video as more and more video platforms don’t want real estate content)

The Ubertor Realtor Website system has been functional on the iPhone and iPad for quite some time with the exception of the videos in the Combustion Video player. Well, last week that changed, we have updated the video player so that it now functions across Apple’s iPhones and iPads.
