We added the website overview numbers to the dashboard a few months ago and since then I have received a quite a few questions from clients asking – what should my numbers be? or are these good?

There is no right answer.

This is not a video game, high numbers do not necessarily mean guaranteed success, but we wanted to be able to show clients in a quick overview how their website was growing. Yes the leads number is usually way off as the leads part is only tracking people that fill in an online form on your website, so people that email you directly, phone you, Facebook message you, etc are not tracked. But the rest of the numbers give you a great idea of how your website is growing.

So, in the interest of sharing, here are some other clients numbers from their website overviews.

Did you know that within your Ubertor control panel you can choose the size of the thumbnail photo of your listings. This is a great option for clients that take the time and effort to get quality photos done for their listings. Using this feature you can showcase your listings thumbnail photo much larger than before. If you want to adjust the thumbnail size of your listing photos, click into the “Listings” tab, then click “Options” from there you can see all of the options you have for your listings. We rolled out a change to the Ubertor login system today enabling all Ubertor users to use the OpenID system to log into their Ubertor websites. “Can’t remember your passwords? Tired of filling out registration forms? OpenID is a safe, faster, and easier way to log in to web sites.” Want more information about OpenID, check out their website. Facebook, Google, Flickr, Yahoo and many more use OpenID on their platforms and we are happy to add Ubertor to that list.

I did an interview with Tony Wanless a little while ago about the deal that we did with the Calgary Real Estate Board, now known at CREB. Tony’s work came out this month in the print edition of BC Business Magazine. (Be sure to support them and pick up a print copy) In it, Tony talks about the changes we made to our system and how we can deal with large bulk website deals with real estate boards and brokerages around the world. For a while now you have been able to create custom badges for your listings. (The badge is the banner with text in it that goes across the listing photos – like “Open House” or “Waterfront”. Today we added the ability to for you to choose the colours of the badge and text quickly and easily right from within your control panel. Before you had to navigate to other sites to choose the hex colour, now you can simply choose the colours right within your control panel. It is a simple enhancement but an important one to make using this feature that much easier. So go ahead, log into your control panel and start marking some custom badges… some suggestions: “Beachfront”, “Walk To Robson”, “Pool”, etc.

Released moments ago into the Ubertor Realtor website platform is a new feature that allows you to control the automatic tweets that your website can send out through Twitter when you add a listing or an open house. You can turn this feature on or off as well as customize the text within the templates. To find this new functionality, log into your control panel, click on the “Marketing” tab, then “Twitter”. Enjoy!
