Sunday, September 21st, 2008

It is with great honor that I announce that Ubertor has become local in Whistler, BC and as a result will now offer service from Squamish to Pemberton. With this announcement comes a special Ubertor addition made just for Realtor’s working within these areas. We have added a complimentary Introduction Video to our Premium and Plus plans until the end of October.

In addition, we have also formed a new chapter of the “Real Estate Technology Meetup” for Whistler with our first meetup occurring on October 8th, 2008 at Citta’ Bistro. Citta’s is in the heart of the Whistler Village, located at 4271 Village Stroll or at cittabistro.com Be sure to keep an eye on the Meetup site and let us know you will be coming, and to find out the itinerary for Whistler’s first Real Estate Tech meetup.

Seattle’s RainCityGuide.com

Thursday, April 6th, 2006

We took a trip down to Seattle today to have lunch with Dustin Luther of the popular blog raincityguide.com. We met up with Dustin in this small Thai restaurant downtown Seattle for some lunch with the idea of just chatting with him about his blog, our websites, the real estate market in Seattle and in general, life.

It was a great lunch and great to meet Dustin. He has some very interesting ideas about Seattle’s real estate world and his blog is doing a great job of communicating those thoughts and ideas. If you have not seen it, check it out at raincityguide.com.

We then went off, met with some agents, sold some of our websites systems and then attended another MIT Forum. This one was not real estate related, but was quite interesting as it was about pricing. It was an interesting workshop and a good opportunity to learn more about the factors behind pricing.

We then left and decided that on our drive home we would stop in Ballard to drop in on Dustin again as he was having a “meet up” in a small coffee shop with some local real estate professionals. It was a great day. Thanks Dustin!

It has been a great week thus far in Calgary. I have had an opportunity to meet with many of our existing clients out here as well as brought on a bunch of new clients.

Today was a great day, Gord Hyland (one of our newest clients) took me to the Calgary Real Estate Board to meet with a few of the board members there. It was great, we met in their big board room and I showed them all our systems. It was a great time and it gave me an opportunity to talk about what we are doing and where we are going. Everyone in the room seemed impressed with our product.

Thanks Gord for setting up that presentation.

Off to Calgary

Wednesday, September 7th, 2005

Well I’m off to Calgary again. We have a couple of salesman to train in the Calgary area and I’m driving out tomorrow morning so that I can get things rolling with the two new salesman.

Should be a good trip. I lived in Calgary for just over 10 years so it is always great to go back as there are lots of familiar faces to see.

If you know any Calgary Realtors that would like to meet, I would be pleased to show them our software, how it works and why we are great at what we do.

Warm not Hot

Tuesday, April 19th, 2005

The weather today in Scottsdale was warm not hot. I expected it to be a little warmer… but what can you do?

Right after we landed, we grabbed our car and went straight to our condo. (friends of mine from Calgary have a great condo here that they graciously let us stay in) The place is great… close to everything, it has a large pool and an outstanding pathway that goes through the whole complex (quite a nice walk).

After we dropped our bags we went straight to the first few meetings of the trip. They went very well and we have added some new clients in Scottsdale and Phoenix to our systems. :)

We have a busy few days ahead of us… quite a few meetings every day.

We went to this pub up the street for dinner tonight called “Goldies”. Quite a good meal.. with very large portions. My friend in Calgary that owns the condo said we should go there so we figured we would try it first night in.

Sitting in Sea-Tac Airport

Tuesday, April 19th, 2005

We’re sitting in Sea-Tac airport on our way to Phoenix. We just got off a little Alaska Air puddle jumper from YVR to Sea-Tac and are now waiting to board our next flight to Phoenix. The flight was great as we flew at no more than 13,000 ft which allowed us to have an excellent view. The sky was clear and you could see everything below. On a day like this it makes taking these smaller planes not such a hastle. (btw - Vancouver Airport has got to be one of the best airports in the world.)

I’m sitting here in the waiting area checking my email through my Fido phone. Fido is not the best phone to have but when it comes to travelling and internet their system and plans are outstanding. I can surf the net from my Powerbook almost anywhere in North America for $50/month - unlimited usage. Its quite handy!

I was just speaking with Jaret who is in Edmonton right now. He had a great day yesterday adding quite a few new Realtors to our systems from the Edmonton area. He will be remaining there for a couple of days due to quite a few Realtors still wanting to meet with him.
