Customized Real Estate Website - see what CSS can do

Wednesday, July 25th, 2007

strattonParker Web Marketing, a web design firm in Matthews, North Carolina has created quite a masterpiece with one of our clients websites. They took Kelly Stratton’s website, which is on the Premium Ubertor Plan and adjusted the CSS to change the entire look and feel of the website. Plus they hid the Ubertor forms on the site and added input forms from her Top Producer account so that the leads from her site go directly into Top Producer.

Andrew Schulz from Parker Web Marketing emailed me about thoughts on our real estate agent website software:

“Ubertor is the first Realtor content system we have encountered that allows for the freedom to build the site exactly the way we designed it! On top of being an excellent product, Ubertor’s staff is rivaled by none with willingness to go the extra mile just to see that their customers are happy! I found the Live Chat to be convenient and helpful every time.”
– Andrew Schulz, Parker Web Marketing

Here is what Kelly had to say about her experience with us:

“Ubertor has been outstanding to work with. I had another similar website that I was trying to customize with no luck. Their system was difficult to work with and you could never get a hold of them. My web designer came across Ubertor and recommended that we give them a shot. As you can see the results are exceptional. Ubertor has been extremely flexible, open, and available in helping me develop the site that had the look and feel that I wanted ,while maintaining the functionality that I desired for capturing and tracking my business.”
– Kelly Stratton, Broker/Owner, Waxhaw, NC

lofts vancouver real estate for sale

Ed Gramauskas and Reid Dewson were our first real estate clients!

They were a help in getting the original version of the Ubertor website engine off the ground, actually, the suggested the idea of creating it in the first place. The thing I have noticed about Reid and Ed is that they are always ahead of the curve within real estate.
- They had a niche website when real estate agents were just getting online
- They sought out a better solution for their old website (enter Ubertor)
- They autofill listings automatically from all loft buildings within Greater Vancouver making their site the one stop shop for lofts in Vancouver
- Now, they have embraced video, YouTube and Google Video to showcase who they are and what they are about

Check out their video below… you might even seen me for a couple seconds near the end. :)

Neighbourhood Websites - Excellent way to farm an area

Wednesday, January 17th, 2007

Neighbourhood or niche websites are a great way to target a specific farming area. The key is building a website that provides value to your visitors, shares your knowledge on a specific topic, showcases properties for sale and most importantly depicts you as an expect in the area.

Do you want to do more business in a certain type of property or a certain area?

Here are 4 examples of real estate agents marketing themselves to a certain area and in one case to a certain property type:

www.loftsvancouver.com
Reid Dewson and Ed Gramauskas have been working a niche website for years. Their website showcases all lofts available for sale within the Vancouver area. Plus they have building information, upcoming projects, plus much more. It is by far the most reliable website for lofts in Vancouver.

www.yaletownpark.ca
Ian Watt has 6 niche websites all targeted towards a specific area or property type. YaletownPark.ca is dedicated to the Yaletown Park condo development that has just gone up in Yaletown, downtown Vancouver. Here are his other sites - www.vancouver-penthouse.com, www.electricavenue.ca, www.whistler-homes.com, www.vancouver-townhouse.com and www.ianwatt.ca

www.kitsilanohouses.com
Marty Pospischil runs 3 websites. His martyhomes.com main website which is all about his real estate business but he runs kitsilanohouses.com and assignmentsvancouver.com (under construction). The Kitsilano website has rental information, properties for sale, restaurants, businesses, schools, plus much more.

www.pointgreynow.com
Ken Wyder is a great example of a website put together in only a few months and is seeing excellent results. Ken has adding lots of great information about Point Grey including the real estate listings that area available in that area.

What to see some results?

- If you Google “Lofts Vancouver” or “Vancouver Lofts” you will see that loftsvancouver.com comes up #1 under both terms.

- If you search “Yaletown Park” in Google, Yahoo and MSN you will see Ian’s website come up 2, 5, and 3 respectively.

- In Yahoo and MSN when you search “Kitsilano Houses for Sale” Marty’s website comes up number 1 in both search engines.

- Searching “point grey real estate” brings up Ken Wyder’s website on the first page of Google, Yahoo and MSN.

Would you like to get started?

We can get you up and running in 60 seconds for $67.00/month - no setup fee. ($57.00 for your website and $10.00 for your autofill category of listings) Give us a call at 604-264-1999 to learn more about creating a website for a neighbourhood or niche that you want to farm.

Vancouver Real Estate - Then and Now

Friday, December 29th, 2006

vancouver real estateJohn Pybus and Al Chamberlain do a great job of using the flash banners in their Ubertor website to showcase images of Vancouver from before downtown was developed with images from today. It is a simple way to show how much development has gone on over the past few years.

Did you know?
With the Flash Banner module you can manage all of the banners on your website. You can control their load time, how many images are in the slide show and even have different slide shows on different pages. For more information about the Flash Banner enhancement please contact our live customer service team through your control panel or contact me directly.

Does your website grow?

Thursday, October 26th, 2006

Your real estate website should be a living, growing entity. The idea behind just having a website so that you can say “I have a website” is no longer going to cut it.

I preach constantly about the importance of having a blog but more importantly writing in your blog. The Ubertor website software helps you by automatically adding blog posts for you when you add a new listing, change it to sold or add an open house. Your Ubertor website will grab unique content from your listings and automatically post to your blog. In addition to that, you must be writing in your blog with good quality unique content that describes you, the neighbourhood that you operate in, your thoughts on the market, interesting tidbits, etc.

Most people refer to a blog as a “web newsletter” and assume that it is the same thing. The BIG difference between your blog and a newsletter is that A BLOG GROWS. You don’t replace your June post with the July post. You add to it. That means that your posts from 2 years ago are still on your website thus filling it will good content that remains a part of your website.

Want to see an example of a Realtor that is seeing the results of his blogging efforts?
john jennings west vancouver real estate
John Jennings in West Vancouver has an Ubertor website. The automatic blogs happen every time he adds a listings, changes it to sold or adds an open house. John takes a few every moments every few days to update his visitors on Ambleside Real Estate and Dundarave Real Estate. Now, Google those terms…. see what happens.

Ambleside Real Estate - in Google currently has John Jennings as number 1 and 2.
dundarave real estate
Dundarave Real Estate - in Google currently has John Jennings as number 1 and 2.
ambleside real estate

Keep in mind, the cheapest home available for sale in Ambleside, West Vancouver is listed for $799,000.00 (not a bad area to come up number 1 in Google)

What areas are your working in? Why aren’t you targeting those areas with your website?

On a side note - John Jennings website is a great example of a beautiful website NOT designed by us. He had his site designed by a 3rd party and then our team coded it so that it works with our software. This question comes up a bit with agents, and the answer is yes, we can do almost anything with our software. Custom designs are great and we can work with them. If you have an interest in getting a custom site I would suggest we chat first as there are some ground rules that are easily followed especially if we chat before you get a new design done. Nathan Justus, Seattle WA

Thursday, October 19th, 2006

Our software is quite flexible and Nathan Justus in Seattle is showing what it can do. Take a peek at his site and you will see how he is using other technologies (rockyou.com, myspace.com, and bolt.com) to customize his site further and drive traffic. Also, I see that he has posted on his blog, his reasons for picking Ubertor as his website provider. Here is what he had to say:

nathan justus I started out looking for website companies that were specially tailored to real estate agents. I came across a few that seemed to have a quality product and had all the latest technology integrated. What I was finding though was the cost was still quite high just to get started. I’m talking $700 dollars just to get started and then we still had the monthly costs, a contract etc. This was discouraging me because my marketing budget is limited. I started to go to template sites and explore the flash sites and found some really cool templates and cool flash animation and the prices aren’t too bad. The problem with these templates is they aren’t designed for real estate agents which means no built in system that manages your listings and sales. Having a system in place that has the latest technology and top notch support and a pretty darn attractive product, is hard to beat.

I came across the company called Ubertor which just happened to be moving into the Seattle market at the time I was looking for something to start my web presence. I was fortunate enough to see a sales presentation in my office at Skyline in Everett, and I was very impressed. One of the co-founder’s Steve Jagger was pitching the product that day and sold me. Ubertor offers a product that is just as good if not better than all the other companies I called. They have a better hold on technology that works and understand and take the time to explain what is truly of value to search engines, Mainly Google. The company is highly integrated with Google and Craigslist which most other’s aren’t, the blogging feature built into the website is spectacular partly automated when changes to listings are made. The product Ubertor is user friendly and completely unique and far from cookie cutter. No contract and having a quality product and unparalleled support makes Ubertor my choice for websites for Seattle Real Estate Agents.

Why Ubertor? Why not! Just look at my site www.soldbyjustus.com
