Site of the Week - TimAyres.ca from Bryan on Vimeo.
Ubertor’s site of the week is TimAyres.ca. The website has a Google Rank of 3/10 and an Alexa Rank (What is an Alexa Rank?) of 2,675,860.
Tim Ayres is a Realtor that specializes in the Sooke, British Columbia area. Tim’s website is a great resource for information on Sooke and properties available in the Sooke area.
Video is a quick and easy way to get your message across on your website. Tim utilizes video by posting an introductory video on his website, giving the visitor a quick overview of what they can expect from him and his site. I also found Tim’s personalized blog very interesting …and a little humorous. The “Horrible MLS Photo” of the day is a unique and clever way to capture an audience. Have you heard of Twitter? If not, check it out. Tim allows his visitors and clients to follow him throughout the day through his own Twitter profile.
Fresh, unique, and clever best describes TimAyres.ca
Here is an interesting take on Open House Signage. What do you think?

4 Tips from real estate legend Barbara Corcoran (watch the video here):
1. Price your home 10-15% below the competition. Buyers are attracted to the best deals in town and you can get the sale price bid up, even in a down market
2. Get rid of your stuff and stage the home. One of the biggest problems is clutter.
3. Hire a “killer” broker, one who is a specialist in your market and housing type and consider paying a higher commission (8%) when the market is tough.
4. Don’t ignore the first buyer offer, even if a lowball. Buyers feel obligated to lowball. Engage the buyer and counteroffer.
Thanks to Joseph from Sellsius for pointing it out.
Video Video Video. We keep harping on the importance of using video in the ever changing real estate market and we have added some functionality to the Ubertor website system so that you can do just that. Instead of me explaining it to you, check out this video that Piotr shot that shows you how the feature works. Lights, Camera, Action!

Myself, Shane Gibson and Norman Stowe were invited to be on a panel at the Vancouver Board of Trade last night. The topic we were asked to discuss was: “Big Impact for you Small Business”. It was an excellent night with lots of great discussion and moderated by Paul Harris, the Editor of Business in Vancouver.
Here are a couple of clips from the evening shot from a Flip Camera, although a little shaky, you will get the point.
Site of the Week, Bridgechurch.ca from Cristian Marine on Vimeo.
This weeks Ubertor site of the week is Rodney Barlett’s Bridgechuch.ca, a church in the Kitsilano neighborhood of Vancouver .
Rodney is the lead instructor at Reachd.com. Rodney has created a site for his Vancouver based church, specifically located in the Kitsilano neighborhood. The page has a Google page rank of 2 (what is Google Page Rank?) and an Alexa Rank of 5,148,615 (What is an alexa rank?).
When I first came to the site, the first thing I noticed was the amount of content the site has. There’s plenty of content starting from the people that lead the congregation, their beliefs, Ebooks, up to maps that show you other churches in the area. They’ve taken advantage of the ability to embed videos and photo libraries to the pages to maximize the functionality of each page.
The homepage serves as a showcase to the latest news and events. They’ve added custom banners to almost every page making every page unique. The site is maintained by volunteers from the church and this can show you the flexibility and ease of use of the Ubertor System.
Rodney, apart from being an Instructor at Reachd.com, is also a musician and leads the music during Sunday morning Worship services.

Just got back from San Francisco and the Inman Connect conference. It was really great to catch up with lots of our clients from all over North America and to meetup with friends. If you have not been to Inman, you should think about doing it one year. It is a great opportunity for learning, socializing and networking. This year I was not able to make it to San Francisco until the very last minute when I was able to adjust my schedule. I’m glad it was able to work out.
It was also great to see Vancouver agents Ian Watt, Larry Yatkowsky and Michael LaPrairie down there. I had lots of great times with all 3 of them.
Vancouver Video Realtor Ian Watt decided to bring his Flip Video Camera along on the trip and shot video interviews of the people he met at Inman. You can see all 20 of his videos here.
Here is one of his videos with San Diego Realtor Kris Berg talking about Ubertor:
