The above is a statement that I heard from multiple agents about Kye Grace's 72 hour open house. It is not a direct quote from any specific agent, but the overall tone is what 3 different agents at different times mentioned to me. The interesting thing is, that Kye is not single, and has 3 kids at home who were all apart of this marketing idea.
This weekend is the Homes for the Holidays event in Vancouver, BC with the proceeds going to Kids Help Phone. I'm surprised I don't see more Realtors supporting this event as it is a great way for your clients to see some fantastic professionally designed homes on the west side of Vancouver. For a $40 donation you can tour 5 really great houses. I have been the last few years and really enjoyed it. For more details check out the Kids Help Phone website.
21 Vancouver business owners traveled to New York this past week to meet with the famous marketing guru and best selling author Seth Godin. This intimate private event was setup as an opportunity for Seth to speak with us about marketing and being "remarkable" in all that we do. Plus we all had an opportunity to discuss our businesses with him and get his feedback, ideas, thoughts, etc on our specific businesses and industries.
Our pal Shane Gibson has posted some sales help videos on his sales blog (http://www.salesacademy.ca) Check them out. There was an article in yesterday's Vancouver Sun about which words in a listing description help and which hurt. It was an interesting article about the use of specific words and how they can impact the sale of a home. You can read the full article here (c/o LA Times via the Houston Chronicle - not the Vancouver Sun).
