Did you miss the last Real Estate Technology Meetup? We had 4 Ubertor client services team members there to answer questions about all things Ubertor. Well, by "there" I mean, 2 of them were actually there and 2 of them were virtually there. I snapped a quick picture so that you can see what I mean;
We were very lucky to have the Vancouver Sun's Gillian Shaw and Kirk LaPointe come to speak at the Vancouver Real Estate Technology Meetup last night (pictures). They both did a fantastic job covering how the Vancouver Sun uses Social Media, How to get on the media's radar and finally the future of news ans newspapers. It was a fantastic event with a crowd of over 90 real estate agents, mortgage brokers and professionals interested in this timely topic.
Come to the next Real Estate Technology Meetup. If you have never made it out, this is the one for you.
The next Real Estate Technology Meetup is scheduled and the speakers confirmed. We have Gillian Shaw and Kirk LaPointe from the Vancouver Sun coming to speak to our group. Here are the details:
Shane Gibson and I just finished a phone interview with Meetup.com co-founder and CEO Scott Heiferman. We had a fantastic chat about what Meetup is doing lately, their growth of more than 500,000 users a month, Scott's day at the White House with President Obama and what Meetup is all about. The full interview will be in our (Shane and I) book Sociable! that is going to be available very soon (final edits are happening now).
Tom Everitt aka ThinkTom.com spoke at the last Vancouver Real Estate Technology Meetup where he talked about his video blog and why, what, how, agents should do them. He even brought up a willing participant to do a live version of his blog in front of the crowd at the meetup. Here is the video he shot:
We held the Inaugural Fraser Valley Real Estate Technology Meetup yesterday and it was a huge success. We have been running the Vancouver version for over 2 years and have decided to add the Fraser Valley as a regular meetup. We had a great turnout for this first event with 49 people showing up in person, and 79 attending online via live video feed from all over North America.
That is what I keep getting asked these days. It has been a hot topic for the last few days. From the Vancouver Sun article to the Vancouver Board of Trade event (summary here) it has got the attention of lots of real estate agents.
It is with great honor that I announce that Ubertor has become local in Whistler, BC and as a result will now offer service from Squamish to Pemberton. With this announcement comes a special Ubertor addition made just for Realtor's working within these areas. We have added a complimentary Introduction Video to our Premium and Plus plans until the end of October.
